Florida Man Killed in Shootout After Violent Domestic Incident

 



On April 18, 2025, in Fort Meade, Florida, 34-year-old Wayne Volz was fatally shot by police following a violent domestic incident. Volz allegedly pistol-whipped his mother and held both parents hostage, claiming to be "Jesus and God." He later accompanied his father to a Lowe’s store in Bartow, where he reportedly intended to commit further violence. Upon police arrival, Volz opened fire, injuring two officers before being shot.
